What do you need help with?

Set yourself up for the right enquiries

Your first few weeks go more smoothly when your profile and settings are in place before enquiries start arriving. It happens in three steps: build your profile, set your services and service area, then reply to your first enquiries.

1. Build your profile

Your profile is where customers decide whether to get in touch, often before they've spoken to you. Before you go live, add:

  • Every service you offer. Each with a clear description and a price, so customers know what you do and what it costs.
  • A clear avatar and a real description. These are what we need before we can match you with customers.
  • Photos that show your business, such as past jobs, before-and-afters, your team, or your space.
  • Credentials that matter for your work, such as licences, certifications, or insurance.
  • Reviews. Import your Google reviews if you have them, and ask for a new review after each job, while it's still fresh.

Each detail answers a question a customer would otherwise have to guess at.

2. Set your services and service area

In your enquiry settings, tell the marketplace what work you want and where:

  • Services. Switch on every service you actually offer. These are what we use to match you with customers.
  • Service area. Choose an area that brings in work worth the travel. You can add more than one, for example a tight area for regular jobs and a wider one for bigger jobs.
  • Online services. If you work remotely, turn this on separately, because your service area only covers in-person work.

Come back to these as your business changes, so your matches stay accurate.

3. Reply to your first enquiries

Every enquiry comes from a customer who has already looked at your profile and chosen to contact you.

  • Reply to every enquiry, even ones that don't look like a perfect fit at first. A quick reply to understand what they need still leaves a good impression, and it builds the response rate shown on your profile.
  • Reply fast, and keep it going. The mobile app lets you reply between jobs, and the AI draft reply gives you a starting point to edit.
  • If enquiries don't feel like a fit, adjust your setup. Off-fit enquiries usually mean your services, service area, or profile need a tweak.

Keep your setup updated as your work and prices change, so it always reflects the business you are today.
